At the heart of the Briese range is the Focus. The Focus reflector is available six different diameters, 77cm,100cm,140cm,180cm,220cm and 330cm.
A critical design element of this tool is the incorporation of an effective focus mechanism. HW Briese has achieved this without the addition of a lens system. The globe is on a moveable axis that can be positioned between the front and the rear of the parabola. A difference of up to 3.5 stops can be achieved between the two positions of spot and flood. For speed and simplicity diffusers and egg-crates can be attached directly to front of the fixture.
The choice of high technology components used in the construction of the lamp head and reflector are a fraction of the weight of a Par or Fresnel fixture.
Given this advantage the Briese Focus can solve awkward rigging problems and performs well if mounted on a Manfrotto Mega Boom. The power supply for Briese continuous light sources produces a square wave frequency and will operate both HMI and tungsten halogen globes.
The Briese 2500 PSU will run from most UK local power supplies or a small generator set.
